ABOUT ABOUT

Take a magical journey through dance.

The traditional tales of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Hansel & Gretel are re-imagined through classical ballet. This is the perfect Mother's Day weekend event that the whole family will enjoy!

The performance begins with Cinderella’s journey to the ball. After being left alone to only dream about dancing the night away, her Fairy Godmother arrives and the magic begins. Dancing fairies, fireflies and a pumpkin coach all help make Cinderella’s wishes come true. Choreography by Artistic Director Kelly Barber.

From Cinderella, we head into Princess Aurora's Wedding from Act III of Sleeping Beauty -- one of the true classical ballets first performed in 1890. Princess Aurora and Prince Désiré celebrate their nuptials by dancing a romantic Pas de Deux, each performing a variation and reuniting in the coda. Staged by Ballet Master/Resident Choreographer Nathan Bland.

The performance ends with an excerpt from Hansel & Gretel as choreographed by Nathan Bland. This is a preview of what is to come -- as this will turn into a full-length ballet. We will see the story from 2 sides, The Witch preparing her house with gumdrops and gingerbread cookies to entice the unsuspecting as they pass through the forest and as Hansel and Gretel become lost and confused on how to escape the forest and return home.

We hope to see you in the audience as we bring the fairy tales to life!
